New for 2009: Kingdom of the Pharaohs
Legoland Windsor has been given planning application to build a new Egyptian themed area,
it will be located on the current Lego City fairground site and is due to open during 2009.

Within the new Kingdom of the Pharaohs area visitors will be challenged to help Johnny Thunder blast away at dozens of targets in Laser Raiders, a huge laser gun dark ride. The new ride will be similar to Tomb Blaster at Chessington World of Adventures but with extensive Lego theming, the plans also show the substantial pre-ride section.





In addition to the main attraction there will also be two Zamperla Jumpin' Star type rides, called Scarab Bouncers, located in the new land for younger visitors to enjoy.


New for 2009: Bob the Builder 4D
Also new at Legoland Windsor in 2009, Bob the Builder and the Roller Coaster joins popular 4D films Spellbreaker 4D and Lego Racers 4D at the Imagination Theatre. In the movie, Bob the Builder and his friends build a roller coaster, and everyone gets to go for a fantastic ride! The film uses 3D animation and special effects.
